Saturday 20 September - Region Regional Council and Programme Action Meetings at Aberavon Beach Hotel, Aberavon, Port Talbot 10am Thursday 25 September - SI Swansea, Neath and Port Talbot These three clubs are joining forces and organising a Fashion Show at The Aberavon Beach Hotel,Port Talbot at 7.30pm. Tickets are £10 to include a glass of wine. The proceeds are for Soroptimist International Project Sierra and Region Wales South Licking Lasser Fever Project.

Saturday 11 October - SI Cardiff A Saturday lunch in aid of the Princess Royal Trust for Carers and the Cardiff Carers Centre. 12 noon - 2.00pm at the Llandaff Institute, Llandaff, Cardiff. Enjoy a bowl of home-made soup, bread and cheese board and fresh fruit. Tickets £5 and a raffle. Saturday 11 October - SI Brecon & District A Dinner at The George Hotel, Brecon where FPE Carwen Wynne-Howells will be in attendance. This will be her last engagement before the Federation Conference in Barbados Dress - Black Tie. Further details to follow. Sunday 12 October - SI Cardigan Charity Lunch which you won't want to miss! Guest speaker will be screenwriter Andrew Davies (sorry, he won't be bringing Mr Darcy). Cliff Hotel, Gwbert-on-sea, 12.30pm for 1pm. 3-course lunch incl coffee £19.95. Wednesday 22 October - SI Brecon Quiz Night at Bishop Bevan Hall, Brecon (next to Co-op)starting at 7.30pm. Teams of 6 maximum. Entry fee £5 per person (includes glass of wine and ploughman's-style supper). Prize - case of wine for winning team. In aid of Licking Lassa Fever. October 30 - November 1 - SIGBI Conference The 2008 Federation Conference for SIGBI will take place in the Sherbourne Centre, Hilton Hotel, Barbados.

Saturday 15 November - Region Welcome Party for in-coming Regional President Hilary Allman at the Aberavon Beach Hotel, Port Talbot. The theme will be a Cruise Night with entertainment. 7pm for 7.30pm - Dress: Black Tie. Cost £30 per person to include a welcome cocktail and wine/juice with the meal. Bring partners, friends and family to make this a successful and fun evening. Sunday 16 November - SI Haverfordwest Annual Charity Lunch in aid of Parkinson's Disease Society to be held at Wolfscastle Country Hotel SA62 5LZ (known locally as Allt yr Afon). Price £20 for a 3-course meal. Friday/Saturday 21/22 November - SI Neath An exhibition celebrating the club's 60 years will be displayed in St David's Church, Neath. Admission is free, open 10.45am - 5pm each day. President Christine welcomes members from across the Region to attend. Tuesday 25th November Regional Executive Strategy Meeting - The Grove Golf Club, Porthcawl, start 6pm. Tuesday 25th November - SI Tenby Cheese and Wine evening with 'Pandora's Box'. At the Southcliff Hotel, Tenby 7.30pm. Thursday 27 November - SI Pontypridd This event has ben postponed to a future date. Africa Nite Party at The Llantwit Fardre Sports Centre, Central Park, Church Village, Pontypridd.

Tuesday 10th February Regional Executive Meeting at the Grove - details to follow Saturday 14th February Regional Meeting at the Aberavon Beach Hotel - details to follow Saturday 14th February - SI Swansea St Valentine's Day Concert at 7pm in Morriston Tabernacle to mark the end of SI Swansea's 75th celebrations. Morriston Orpheus Choir and guests Sali-wyn Ryan (violin), The Welsh-Argentinian Guitar Duo Adam Khan and Luis Orias-Diz, and Natalya Romaniw (soprano),recent winner of Welsh Singer of the Year.

Sunday 8 March - SI Llanelli Annual Lunch at Diplomat Hotel, Llanelli. Sunday 15 March - SI Tenby Charity Lunch. The guest speaker will be Federation president Carwen Wynne-Howells. Further details will be sent out nearer the date.
